Discussion

When visitors take part in discussions on the site or in the app we collect the data shown in the form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection. Discussions are shared between the website and the mobile app, so anything posted to a discussion forum in the mobile app will become public on the website and vice versa.

The information you post to this website is inherently public. It will appear on the website and in the reeDminder mobile app. Data that you see publicly comprises the total of what other users can also see. Take care to protect your personal identity and do not share details that you do not wish to become public. reeDminder does not share your private data with third parties and will not do so without prior notice or without opt-out capabilities.

Media

If you upload media (e.g. images, video or audio) to the website, you should avoid uploading files with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from files on the website.

Content that you produce and post to reedminder.com is assumed to be your own property, and that you have the rights to upload it to the reeDminder platform. reeDminder will neither attempt to take ownership of content you generate nor take responsibility for your right to use said material.

Cookies

If you participate in discussions on this site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

If you visit our login page, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.

If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie will be saved in your browser. This cookie includes no personal data and simply indicates the post ID of the article you just edited. It expires after 1 day.

Who we share your data with

Nobody, really. reeDminder will never “sell” your personal information. The website and app rely on several services that do collect information about you, and occasionally, may store personal and highly sensitive data. These vendors have all been carefully selected, and only used when necessary. For example, Stripe is trusted for credit card transactions, and SendGrid with email delivery.

As previously stated, reeDminder does not share your private data with third parties and will not do so without prior notice or without opt-out capabilities.

How long we retain your data

If you participate in discussions, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue. Requests to and for technical support are also retained indefinitely.

For users that register on this website, we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

What rights you have over your data

If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, your data can be deleted from Your Account management area. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

Where your data is sent

Discussions may be checked through an automated spam detection service.

Intellectual Property

Ideas related to the reeDminder app or website features, or other related services or offerings that are shared in public forums or through the app or website are necessarily the intellectual property of Chris Ostmo and APP(ideas) and you agree that your future legal and monetary rights are relinquished without a prior, signed non-disclosure or non-compete agreement. Basically, don’t give me ideas for an app unless you’re giving me ideas for an app.
